    The Maples in Caledon, Ontario is a very short drive from the amenities in Orangeville yet still maintains a country feel. The largest lake in Caledon is located in the The Maples area but it is a mainly private lake. There is a small area that belongs to the Peel District School Board which is a camp/nature centre. The trail is well maintained and it is only a five to ten minute walk to Caledon Lake. Power boats seem to be allowed despite the lake bordering protected lands.
